Meet the founder

Aníbal Torres.
The man behind the gin.

Originally from Córdoba, Argentina, Aníbal made London his home in 1987. His lifelong connection to yerba mate inspired him to create a distinctive gin with two places at its heart.

In his London distillery he blends juniper, yerba mate and eight other botanicals, crafting a spirit shaped by tradition, curiosity and a personal dedication to quality.

This is Aníbal’s gin: Argentine in inspiration, London in spirit.

The art of distilling

Meet Rosa.

Aníbal’s Arnold Holstein copper pot still is called Rosa, in honour of his late mother. It is a personal detail at the heart of the craft — a reminder of the memories, family ties and traditions distilled into London Mate.

For Aníbal Torres, this everyday connection became the inspiration for London Mate Dry Gin — where its bittersweet, earthy, herbaceous character meets traditional gin botanicals.
